Rich Snippet

A Rich Snippet is a search engine result that provides more and structured information in addition to the normal title, URL, and meta description. Rich Snippets provide consumers additional information about a webpage’s content, making search results more useful and aesthetically appealing.
Depending on the content and markup used on the homepage, this extra information may include star ratings, reviews, product pricing, availability, recipe instructions, event times, and much more. Rich Snippets are created using structured data markup, such as Schema.org, which assists search engines in better understanding the information and presenting it in a more user-friendly fashion. Websites with well-implemented structured data are more likely to have their search results augmented with rich snippets, resulting in better visibility and perhaps higher user click-through rates.
